“Before the Suicide Squad sets their sights on the corrupted Justice League in the upcoming videogame Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, join us for this thrilling prequel and witness them kill Arkham Asylum! Amanda Waller has taken control of the recently rebuilt Arkham, and her brutal tactics and merciless methods have led to the most secure asylum Gotham has ever known. But when the cell doors open, and the inmates are left in a free-for-all deathmatch, Waller’s true intentions reveal themselves: identify the strongest, smartest, and most brutal to serve her on Task Force X.”

This is such a fun lead into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League!
Suicide Squad: Kill Arkham Asylum was a fast paced introduction to what’s going on in the game, but also acts as a bridge for the gap in time between the Arkham games and the new Suicide Squad game. And considering how in love with the game I’ve been, the comic had a lot of high expectations for me – and so far, I am not disappointed.
The characters are well written, given just enough introduction without going too overboard, considering the knowledge we have for them already thanks to the game. I especially loved how well Harley Quinn was written – that delightful blend of insanity and intelligent that I crave.
The art word is fantastic. Obviously, everyone resembles their game counterparts. So much storytelling is done through the beautiful art itself. But the colors really set the tone. And there are clever things done with the lettering, especially in dialogue, that help guide the reader easily through the issue.
I cannot WAIT to grab issue #2 and get more Squad in before season one of the game starts the end of March!
