Whether you collect comics, figures, statues, art prints, or rare memorabilia, protecting your Harley Quinn collection is essential for keeping it pristine and valuable for years to come. While not everything is necessary, they are all some options to consider! Here are some tips every collector needs to know:
Proper Storage for Comics

- Bag and Board: Use acid-free bags and boards to prevent yellowing and creasing.
- Storage Boxes: Keep comics upright in comic book boxes (short or long boxes), ideally acid-free.
- Climate Control: Store in a cool, dry place — high heat and humidity can warp and damage comics.
- Special Editions: Consider top loaders or graded slabs for rare/valuable issues.
Protecting Figures and Statues
- Display Cases: Invest in dust-proof display cases or cabinets to keep figures clean and safe.
- Away From Sunlight: UV rays can fade paint and materials — display out of direct sunlight.
- Temperature Control: Like with comics, keep collectibles in areas with stable temperatures to prevent cracking or warping.
Handling and Cleaning

- Handle With Clean Hands: Oils from your skin can damage comics and collectible surfaces. So maybe avoid eating pizza right before doing anything with your collection. Or at least wash your hands THOROUGHLY after.
- Gentle Dusting: Use soft brushes or microfiber cloths to dust figures and statues without scratching them. Personally, I use soft makeup brushes for the figures and microfiber cloths on the shelves themselves.
- No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid sprays or cleaners that can react badly with paints or finishes.
Art Prints and Posters

- Use Archival Frames: Acid-free backing and UV-protective glass can prevent fading and deterioration.
- Avoid Rolling If Possible: Flattened prints last longer than constantly rolled ones.
- Put Unframed Prints in Portfolios: I have an addiction to buying prints at cons, etc, and nowhere near enough wall space. Go to local hobby stores or order online some art portfolios (I buy most 11×17 prints, so I have an 11×17 portfolio) to store prints safely with easy access if you feel like switching things up!
Bonus Tip:
Rotate displays every so often! It reduces prolonged exposure to light and air on any one piece — and keeps your setup fresh and exciting.
Taking the time to properly protect and preserve your Harley Quinn collection isn’t just about maintaining value – it’s about honoring the love and excitement that comes with being a fan. Whether you’re just starting out or curating a vault full of treasures, these simple steps can help your collection stay as dazzling as Harley herself. After all, every piece tells part of her story – and yours, too. Stay wicked, stay wonderful, and happy collecting, puddin’!
