This Mother’s Day, we’re shining a light on Harley as a mom, in all her weird, wonderful forms. Proving that motherhood, much like Harley herself, is messy, unpredictable, and powerful as hell.

Ever notice Clay Mann drew Dr. Harleen Quinzel in Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death in a pose that pays homage to Mad Love? Easily one of my favorite artists to draw Harley Quinn. This is such a fun nod to fans who would recognize it, like an Easter egg for those with a keen eye.

Fun fact: Harley’s inmate number in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is the date of her first comic appearance ![]()

For fans wanting to get as much information on Harley’s history as possible, we are planning to do a monthly post noting some Harley History that happened within that month. We are hunting for every notable date possible, so this will likely be updated every time we find a new bit of info!
NOTE – For comic releases, we are going by the date RELEASED vs COVER DATE.
Continue reading May – On This Day in Harley HistoryHarley is the perfect multiverse character – her identity is constantly in flux, shaped by her choices, lovers, traumas, and the world around her. She can be a tragic figure, a chaotic clown, or a badass survivor… sometimes all in one panel.

Let’s take a moment to explore some various Harleys:

“Harleen Quinzel is many things, a gymnast, anxious, broke—but is it possible there is something else inside her? Something… evil?
When Harleen signs up to participate in a clinical research trial with her girlfriend, Pamela, the most she can hope for is extra cash in her wallet and a chance to get her anxiety under control. But what she gets instead are increasingly larger gaps in her memory and stolen mementos from some guy named Jack she’s never met. Soon, Harleen discovers she’s sharing her life with Harley—a take-no-prisoners, who-cares-about attendance, maybe-we-oughtta-save-the-bunnies kind of girl. She is the opposite of Harleen in many ways. She is anarchy in a cute dress. And in this Jekyll and Hyde story, Harleen discovers that maybe evil ain’t so bad—as long as she doesn’t get caught.“

I was ecstatic when Lady Gaga was announced as the newest live action actor for Harley Quinn. I remember years ago, after seeing the Bad Romance music video, telling friends at the time that it had a very Harley Quinn vibe to it – granted, this was back when almost no one knew who Harley was, so they just took my word for it.

Amanda Waller has taken control of the recently rebuilt Arkham, and her brutal tactics and merciless methods have led to the most secure asylum Gotham has ever known. I am a fan of the weirdest, most unusual Harley Quinn items that can be added to a collection.
So imagine my surprise and delight last year when a friend in Australia (the same one that I bought the Whack-a-Villain Harley from) sent me a photo of this Meerkat Harley figure in a shop.
Continue reading Oddball Items: Meerkat Harley QuinnIn my own personal collection, I’ve wanted to start adding more prop replicas to my shelves. And I was lucky to have recently become friends with the incredible LeftBrainCo – a fellow Harley Quinn fan and collector. Not only has he given me insight into the world of buying things from movies, but also shown off his incredible talents in prop making.

Many alright heard about this little easter egg, but for those that weren’t aware:
Within the Hall of Justice in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, there is a tribute on the wall in memory of the original Harley Quinn – Arleen Sorkin. Also in the room, to the right of Arleen, is a tribute to Kevin Conroy – our beloved Batman. His final performance as the Bat was Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
It seemed appropriate when I took the screenshot in my game to have Harley in her classic outfit.
