“Critically acclaimed and bestselling author Brian Azzarello (Batman: Damned) and Eisner Award-winning art legend Alex Maleev (Batman: No Man’s Land) collaborate for the first time in this three-issue, Suicide Squad series pitting Red Hood, Harley Quinn, Firefly, and more of DC’s most villainous criminals against The Joker. When Task Force X’s Amanda Waller sets her sights on Batman’s greatest foe, she enlists the Dark Knight’s former partner Jason Todd to track down the Clown Prince of Crime and put an end to his mad reign of terror.”
This Suicide Squad involves Jason Todd, aka Red Hood, and centers heavily around him and Harley as main characters. Given that the mission is to go after Joker – you couldn’t pick two better people to focus on. The boy Joker killed, and his psychologist ex girlfriend.
Suicide Squad: Get Joker! #1 has a lot of potential. Harley’s representation leans more into a cunning, capable Harley – something I personally love. And the outfit in this issue is pretty fantastic:
A blend of old and new.
The art is gorgeous. The characters all look fantastic. The imagery is stunning. The colors are really beautifully done. The lettering is fantastic.
Definitely one to give a shot if you enjoy Suicide Squad.
